Enterprise OSGi in Action: With Examples Using Apache Aries

If you are already familiar with core OSGi and want to know more about the enterprise specification this book is the right one for you.It contains all the necessary knowledge how to create an enterprise OSGi application ( e.g. Blueprint and JPA), how to communicate across servers, how to hande the non OSGi world and gives advice for application servers.Right now this book contains up-to-date knowledge and is easy to read and understand.

The examples in the book are out of date and will not build successfully. The manning forum for the book is inactive. There is too much talk in the book about how wonderful OSGi is. I have a very deep understanding of the problems that OSGi solves. It is a shame I can't figure out how to use it because the documentation is so poor.I will gladly modify my review if anyone can help me to actually build the example source code. I won't hold my breath.
