Walking with Trees

This was a birthday present that I gave to someone. It felt like such a special gift, with all the folklore and factual information about trees, plus the wonderful drawings throughout. It has been well received and is much loved!

Love this book. I run a forest school and have told several of the stories in this book as they touch on environmental issues and installing good morals in children. Not preachy but thoughtful.

A great book to help one connect more strongly with nature.

From how to grow, to how to use magickally, this covers most of the bases for learning about the trees included in this book. Enjoyed this one, basically has replaced my many loose pages of personal research with a concise and easy to use book. I do wish their was an appendix in the back listing the trees by magickal usage for quick reference (i.e. Fertility, Protection, Knowledge) but this will be often used in my practice!

I picked up this book on the reference of a friend. Both beautifully written and illustrated (by the author), this is a book you will read many times over. Glennie Kindred's knowledge of trees indigenous to the UK is astounding. Each chapter provides insight into how to grow trees, how to harvest and use them for medicine, food, and craftwork. In addition to learning about trees, the author helps us to discover a personal relationship with each tree. Walking with Trees will help the reader discover how to engage with the inner life of trees and to learn the wisdom they have to offer.
