This is great balsamic. It is sweet, somewhat thick, and the predominant flavor note is prune. This brand is far better than the Giuseppe Giusti brand 25 year product (which incidentally says 25 years on the Amazon ad, but the bottle you receive does not mention age at all, and it tastes sour like at 12 year balsamic). So donʻt wast your money. If you want quality aged balsamic get this one. In an earlier review (2020) I mentioned that this was half the price of other Balsamics. That is no longer true, it now costs as much as the others. But it is still the best.

Just like the thick aged balsamic vinegar I had in Modena Italy. Would buy again. Pricey but worth it as you only drizzle it over food before serving.

I have been in the restaurant business over 50 years. I keep a bottle of this on my condiment rack at all times. Waiting for my spring tomatoes to enjoy the robust pop of flavor this exceptional vinegar delivers every time. Do not hesitate because of the price point. Every drop is worth it.

This is by far the best balsamic vinegar I’ve ever had—and my second experience with a true Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena DOP. I first tried the 12-year “silver” version and was impressed. Naturally, I had to try the 25-year “gold” version—and it exceeded expectations. Through tasting and research, I’ve come to understand there are three broad categories of balsamic vinegar: 1. The real deal: Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena DOP (aged 12 or 25 years) 2. Commercial imitation: Balsamic Vinegar of Modena IGP 3. Even lower-tier dressing: Condimento a base di Aceto Balsamico di Modena IGP

Very Disappointing. Arrived in a completely different package than the one shown but still labeled as 25 year aged. Chose this one because the package shown online was the same as one I’d previously purchased. Taste/flavor is not good. No sweetness to it at all and it is extremely acidic tasting. It tastes nothing at all like the other 25 yr old balsamic I’ve purchased. Don’t waste your money as it can’t be returned!
