Can these drill bits cut through hardened steel or stainless steel?

Yes. M35 grade steel with 5% Cobalt is specifically engineered for high-tensile metals like stainless steel, cast iron, and titanium alloys. For fully hardened steel (HRC > 50), carbide bits are recommended.

Will these bits fit my standard cordless drill?

Yes. These feature standard round straight shanks. The largest diameter is 10mm, allowing them to fit securely into any standard 3/8-inch (10mm) or 1/2-inch (13mm) drill chuck.

Do I need to use cutting oil or lubricant?

Highly recommended. While Cobalt is heat-resistant, using cutting fluid significantly reduces friction and heat buildup. This prevents the bit from annealing (softening) and greatly extends its lifespan.

Do these bits require a center punch to start?

No. These bits feature a 135° Split Point tip. This design is self-centering and cuts immediately upon contact with the metal, preventing the bit from "walking" or skating across the surface.

Are these bits just coated with Cobalt or solid?

They are solid M35 Cobalt steel throughout, not just coated. Unlike titanium-coated bits that lose effectiveness once sharpened, these maintain their heat resistance and performance even after resharpening.
