New addtion to our range of necks - the large headstock model as found on CBS made Fenders of the 1970's. We've stayed true to that period with a 12" radius fretboard, medium jumbo frets with a 22nd fret overhang. All frets are levelled, polished and crowned. We've been making bodies and necks for over 5 years now, and in that time we have achieved a reputation among builders and luthiers for producing wood products of the highest quality. We use only hand selected hardwoods from the USA to ensure consistency and quality, and manufacture everything in our own factory. We run a relatively small operation, meaning we can make everything by hand, without the need for expensive CNC machinery, thus keeping the costs relatively low. All our necks are made from North American Hard Rock le. All frets are levelled, dressed polished to a high standard, and 99% players find the neck is ready to bolt on and play (with a tweak of the truss rod of course). But we are aware of players different tastes and we can't please everybody. Some players may want to go the extra mile and have their neck professionally set up (although tis should require only very minimal work). The high quality unbleached nut offers improved tonal qualities, and is pre-slotted to accommodate 9-42 gauge strings.Please note: Final string slot filing and nut shaping modification may be required to ensure lower action, depending on your playing style.
