I bought this to program some ESP-12F development boards. Only hiccup was finding the drivers to install. Once the drivers were installed, programming these was a piece of cake.

Very hard to tell if the board even works since the pins were so poorly aligned that I couldn't get my chip to sit properly connected in either, even after many attempts.

I've been using this to program various 8266 chips, and it works great.

This board, as I recived it, did not work correctly in so far as ESPTool could not reliably put the device into boot mode for programming. This is due to an under-sized capacitor on the reset/EN pin. Adding a 1uf capacitor from EN to GND seems to fix the problem. Otherwise 5* for a really useful tool.Hope this helps anyone else who's about to throw the thing in the bin.
