U-Pol GRAVITEX Stone Chip Protector 1 Litre - Black x 6 + Air Fed Application DescriptionGRAVITEX is a tough, hard, durable coating designed to protect against stone chips, salt, damp and rust. The great texture allows easier match to OEM finishes and is compatible with waterborne basecoats. GRAVITEX will also help to deaden sound and vibrations and is, therefore, ideal for application to panels and inside engine compartments. The high build formula will cover weld marks and seams, often in one application. Surface preparation and instructions for useGRAVITEX stone chip protector can be used on the following surfaces:Suitably prepared bare metal. For overcoating aluminium or galvanized steel use a suitable etch primer Original paint surfaces (with the exception of thermoplastic acrylics).Degrease with Precleaner or panel prep and allow to dry. Wet flat with 400 grade paper. For bare metal use 180 grade paper. Re-clean and dry. and Safety Statement IMPORTANT: This product contains hazardous materials. Please consult the material safety data sheet for full handling instructions and personal protection information. Drying TimeApproximately 2 hours at normal shop temperature or 30 mins. at low bake (80ºC). ThinnersGRAVITEX is supplied ready for use. However, up to 5% of good quality cellulose thinners may be added to vary the texture. Build and PressureOne coat of GRAVITEX will give a build of approximately 100-150 microns and a pressure of between 3 - 5 BAR / 40/70 Psi is required at the . Less or more pressure will give a flatter or more rippled effect. OverpaintingGRAVITEX may be over-painted with most paint systems. With 2 pack acrylic paints it can be over-painted wet on wet. For optimum gloss and durability the use of a primer is recommended.
