Which TRP brake models are these 2-piston pads compatible with?

These pads are a perfect fit for several TRP 2-piston systems, including the HY/RD, Spyre, Spyke, Hylex, and Slate X2 models. Locate the model number etched directly on your brake caliper to ensure a match before placing your order.

Do I need to "bed-in" new pads before my first trail ride?

Absolutely. For maximum power and safety, perform a series of controlled stops on flat ground to transfer a thin layer of pad material to the rotor.

How often should I replace my brake pads?

It depends on your riding style, but a good rule of thumb is to check them every 500–1,000 miles. If the friction material looks thinner than a penny (about 1.5mm), it’s time for a new set to ensure your safety and stopping power.

Can I use E.10 brake pads on my electric bike (E-bike)?

Yes! These are excellent for standard E-bikes used on paved surfaces and light trails. They provide the reliable deceleration needed for the extra weight of an electric motor while remaining smooth and easy to control.

How do these pads perform in wet or muddy conditions?

Our specialized friction compounds are engineered to maintain a consistent bite and minimize noise, ensuring reliable braking power even in the most challenging weather.
