## Description

Foster open-ended, creative, and constructive play with SoftZone Patchwork Toddler Blocks. Designed for everyday use in daycares, and preschools, and perfect for home, this 12-pack of building blocks introduces block play, color and shape recognition, and STEM activities at a young age. Building and purposeful play are essential in early childhood development and allow for abstract thinking and a chance for young builders to imagine and create one-of-a-kind designs. Encourage kids to take a hands-on approach to lead their learning while promoting problem-solving, critical thinking skills, and collaboration as they build with increasing complexity. Square blocks are the perfect size for tiny hands to carry, toss, and stack high and are quiet when they fall over without making loud crashes. Colorful STEM blocks stimulate imagination, dexterity, and spatial reasoning abilities. Set up a larger play area for safe active play and create fun color-matching games and patterns by pairing them with ECR4Kids SoftZone Patchwork Activity Mat; sold separately. The foam core is covered with water-resistant polyurethane vegan leather with a durable woven backing. The baby soft blocks arrive fully assembled allowing for more time for play.
Toddlers are natural architects! Reaching, stacking and figuring out how blocks fit together helps with the development of hand-eye coordination. Building blocks fine-tune motor skills through sorting, building and color matching activities. Small and lightweight cubes make it easy for little hands to pick up and carry.
Playing with blocks helps children develop their vocabularies, improves math skills, and introduces them to understand gravity, balance, and geometry. Encourage little learners to describe colors, shapes, sizes and positions as they build various structures
Play is an integral part of a child’s learning and development. Provide hands-on learning opportunities for children by allowing them to explore shapes, colors, and easy stacking with soft foam blocks. Give your toddler the freedom to build whatever they wish.
Playing with blocks encourages children to collaborate with others to produce cognitive and emotional growth. Support language, creativity, and empathy through interactive play. When trying to build difficult structures, children can learn how to work together, and problem solve as a team.
Founded in 2003, ECR4Kids began with a passion and goal to help childcare providers access the supplies they need for their schools, classrooms, or homes, at an affordable cost.
We are committed to offering high-quality classroom furniture and equipment that is safe, durable, and developmentally appropriate. We believe you and your kids deserve the absolute best for a brighter way to play, share, learn, and grow.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hours of Fun and Built to Last
*by on Reviewed in the United States February 6, 2026*

These blocks are definitely worth the purchase if your kids love building towers and then knocking them down! Our 6-year-old and 3-year-old both absolutely love them. They make building so easy and fun. We bought these as Christmas gifts, and they’ve already withstood hours of play, rough handling, and lots of excitement. They’re also super easy to wipe clean, which is a huge bonus. Such a fun, durable toy that keeps our kids entertained. Highly recommend!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great open ended play toy for kids
*by on Reviewed in the United States November 1, 2019*

I got these blocks for my 14 month old, hoping they would keep him busy for a while so I could get things done. They are sturdy, durable, easy to wipe off, and didn’t have a smell when we opened them- all necessary for kids Toys!Unfortunately he doesn’t have much interest in them. He is almost 16 months now and still just doesn’t play with them like I thought he would. Okay, he doesn’t play with them at all.But my 3, almost 6 and 9 year olds really enjoy them. We got a couple other ECR4Kids block sets with some bigger rectangle pieces and they all have a lot of fun stacking, building, knocking them down, jumping on them... and throwing them at each other. In fact, their dad and I enjoy these little family “snowball fights” with these blocks, too. They are soft enough that there is no worry of injury, but just heavy enough that they really fly.So basically we all like these things except for the intended user, but I think he’ll come around once his large motor skills improve and he can really appreciate all they have to offer.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fun!

Soft foam blocks that keeps my kids entertained. We’ve played Dodge the brick, jump the brick, let’s build, and many other games with these. My son loves them. They’re lightweight and easy to clean. Would definitely suggest
