USR-TCP232-302 Tiny Size Serial RS232 to Ethernet TCP IP Server Module Ethernet Converter Support DHCP/DNS

I used this as a converter from an old piece of industrial equipment with a COM port to an application running on a virtual machine. All I can say is that it was simple to set up, and worked perfectly. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the network connection, stopping and restarting the virtual machine and everything came back to life perfectly.

Slow delivery, poor chinglish web user interface, no instructions whatsoever, security is lacking as it only allows a password 5 digits long, did not work in tcp server mode at least on the 3 systems i tried it on however udp server and client work just fine. Unit appears well built though and a nice neat form factor and it is very cheap compared to similar equivelants.

Don’t buy this product - the setup software and user manuals have to be downloaded from a website that my Microsoft operating systems won’t access due to security concerns. When I was able to download them via my iPhone the pdf was unreadable.
