Now TV Box 2 - 1080P-YouTube - ITV Player - BBC iPlayer - 4OD - 5Demand …

Excellent product. Like many others, I did not want a monthly 'package' as I only want to be able to access all the iPlayers and YouTube. However, you are forced to select at least one package and give payment details during the account setup on the website (before the setup of the product to the TV), so as other customers have suggested, once the acount setup was complete I was able to go back to my account and Cancel the Entertainment package I had previously chosen immediately. The option to Cancel is right there under the package selected, so it was an easy process. My cancellation was confirmed immediately within my account and again by email. Unlike connecting a laptop to the TV to watch the iPlayers, the Now box provides a simple and quick method of access to these and also there is no programme 'hanging' like I was getting via the laptop, plus you can control the Play / Pause from the Now remote instead of having to use the mouse to do this on the laptop.

Amazing little box. Easiest install. It's so user friendly. The now tv trial have been amazing so far & seem well worth investing in. Far better than what Netflix offers. It was easy to pair my laptop Plex with the now tv box too. Great value & lovely to use, it's exactly what I was looking for but far exceeded my expectations. I Couldn't recommend this more.

this is a used product but it is very good.

Good product

I bought this item to upgrade my original Now TV Box. It works as expected and now operates full 1080 HD. My only disappointment was that an audio out socket was not fitted to the new device; so I couldn't hook it up to my audio system. I did purchase a HDMI to HDMI audio extractor, which powered nicely from the USB socket on the Now TV Box and solved the problem. All in all if you want pay as you go. free catch up and many extras, this is an excellent product.

DO NOT BUY THIS!! I bought this Now TV Box 2 for my Dad as a Christmas present (so that he could watch BBCiPlayer for free on his TV). Upon opening the device it became clear that you need to enter your credit card details to register the product before use. Apparently there is an option to remove your credit card details later, but only after initially registering with your credit card. I returned the package to the seller (Shop2Direct). I had to pay the postage too. The seller contacted me and told me that I would receive NO refund for the product. Shop2Direct claimed that the cardboard box was ripped and the equipment had a slight scratch on the surface (which it did not). Fortunately Amazon provided a partial refund. I received no refund from the seller. This is a total waste of money and the service is terrible. Many other people have experienced the same as me. For the record, if you are thinking that I am a prickly customer, I can confirm that I am a laid back person who hardly ever complains. However, I feel as though I have to warn others about this product and seller. DO NOT BUY this product. Shop2Direct customer service is quite simply disgraceful. You have all been warned!

Delivered on time. Worked first time out of box. Easy to set up and install. Be warned Sky has disabled access to developer mode so you cannot sideload Plex or indeed any other apps. In a strange coincidence I updated the apps on my Samsung TV and Plex is there as an official app. Otherwise everything works as described. I am using a wired Ethernet connection which is really fast with no time lag. Also update picture resolution in Settings/Display type to 1080p if your tv is compatible.Thanks.

I got this to replace an older white box. The 1080p output is much better than the 720p the old white box gave out, plus it is much faster at moving through the apps, also having an ethernet port is a nice feature as wired is always faster than wireless. One sidenote however is that this box didn't connect to my virgin superhub 2 at first. So what I had to do was press home x5 fast forward x1 play x1 rewind x1 play x1 then fast forward x1 this brings up the hidden menu. Then select systems operations menu and dissable network pings. Then I went back into the connections menu and it connected to the virgin router fine.
