Could I use this as a base coat? Rather than having to use acetone to remove my polish, would this work? Or would it peel off too soon?

I won't recommend as a peel off base, it will create a mess and will take forever to remove. I recommend use UNT peel off base works perfectly and most importantly is not glue base.

Would this work to mask off one's nails in order to paint French manicure tips instead of the little tape strip thingies that don't work well at all?

I actually tried that and for me it didn't work. The brush did not allow me to create a clean line. However, I have seen tutorials where people use anything from band aids, to those round washer stickers, to the single strip guide stickers, and even the methods people use to free hand French manis. I think it just depends on how much you practice with any of those methods. Hope this answer helps.

Can this product be used with gel polishes - and curing??

I have had a couple of customers who have used it as their base under gel polish, and they got several days of wear. And then it peeled off nicely when they were ready to do a new manicure. They both said it gripped really well, until they were ready to remove it. It was not part of my trials when developing the product, but I love it when my customers become their own science experiments . ~Ana
