Citric Acid is mainly used to add acidic or sour taste to foods and beverages. ic Acid is USP grade and is soluble in water and alcohol. Anhydrous Citric Acid has many uses including as a food additive, water softener, bath fizzies, along with a wide range of other uses. As with all chemicals, citric acid should be handled with care. Review: Cleans my water distiller - I bought this to use with my water distiller which has dark looking solids at the bottom every time it is done distilling a gallon of water. After boiling water in the distiller with a tablespoon of citric acid, my distiller is good as new. I know I am saving a lot of money from buying 1 kg instead of 250g since I use this everyday. I love my distilled water. I know I am increasing pH and helping my body stay healthier with clean water free of chlorine, fluoride and other harmful chemicals. Review: I will always keep this in stock!! - I bought this to use in a DIY CO2 generator for my aquariums. It is very high quality. After tasting it, I realized it would be a part of my life forever. I dehydrated some peach jam, rolled into little balls and coated them in a mixture of 1 part citric acid to 3 parts sugar. Delicious homemade and grown, sour gummy balls. You can also rim a glass with this mixture for cocktails or soft drinks. So tasty! I'm sure there are so many ways to use this.

Hard water solver
I use this product along with my laundry detergent and it helps clean and keep the pipes clean. I also use it in the dishwasher and it sparkles my dishes. I have hard water.

Myriad household uses
Citric acid has so many household uses it's become a standing joke in our house. You can use it to clean off your ceramic top stove; soak gunk off pans; de-scale your tea and coffee pot; unclog slow-running toilets (in conjunction with baking soda), as the active ingredient in a homemade dishwashing rinse aid, and to add tang to foods like homemade sourdough. Citric acid is found in all living cells; it's a safe, cheap, and environmentally benign substitute for many commercial cleaning preparations.

Well, it was only one half cup worth of ...
Well, it was only one half cup worth of product, so, the price is not right AND I had to reorder immediately from someone else. My bath bomb recipe calls for one cup of citric acid, which only makes four bath bombs anyhow. Why did I think 100 grams was enough? I didn't read close enough, that's what. I thought it was 100 ounces.

Good product
Unfortunately I didn't get to use much of this because the bag was torn open and most of it spilled out in the box. It was a packing issue. I contacted amazon and they refunded my money without any problems. I was able to salvage about a half a cup and used it in my homemade powdered dish soap. worked great. I would order again for sure.

Citric Acid- How to make laundry detergent
Citric Acid Powder - Fine Granular - 100% Pure Anhydrous - Pharmaceutical Grade Quality 1 Kilograms I like to make my own powdered laundry detergent, and this is one of the ingredients. I like to order all of the ingredients from Amazon, no running around trying to find them in the store. The recipe I use is all natural, allowing me to use green cleaning methods on my laundry. Here is the recipe I use. 3 c washing soda 2 c baking soda 2 bars grated Castile soap 1 c citric acid 1/2 c Epsom Salt

Worked great. Warning
Used to flush scale from copper heat exchanger. Worked great. Warning, don't mess with this the night before boarding a commercial airline. I got pulled aside and they did the standard hand swab. The citric acid on my hands set off a chemical alert leading to them ask what lubricant I preferred. Okay, just kidding about the lube but it did lead to some heavy petting :).
