Great for train enthusiast kids and train curious kids alike!
If you have a toddler or preschooler who loves trains and already has trains, this is still a GREAT product! My son will mix and match with other trains from ikea or even the random train toy we buy on our travels, and it works great on this little tabletop. Very vibrant, lots of story telling possibilities here. Feels like I will have this thing in 20 years and ask my son “hey do you want this? I don’t need this anymore, please just take it!” I will say it is very heavy. Pro to it being heavy is that they don’t move it very easily on the ground. Con to it being heavy is it can be a little bit of a safety hazard if your little one is getting a little too excited on a table (watch out toes!) or if your little one INSISTS they MUST carry it. This will hurt your foot, their foot, baby brother’s foot if it’s dropped. Just.. watch your toes if you’re not the one handling it and it’s not on the ground lol. May be a slight pro if you’re ever dealing with a robbery, just swing this thing at them. Overall, I do not regret buying this one!

A safe and fun toy.
My grandkid likes the new toy. The design is neat as you can bring it about in a box. Sturdy wooden parts are safe for young children too.

Perfect Compact Toy for Travel
This Melissa & Doug travel train is so great for traveling. I would definitely buy it again or even as a gift for a friend. I love that it comes in different themes, so you can choose something that matches a child’s interests. It’s very compact, which makes it perfect for trips, and we keep it set aside just for travel so we don’t lose any pieces. We’ve had it for about six months now and our son still hasn’t gotten bored of it—it continues to keep him entertained.
