Journaling is a great way for kids to build their emotional vocabulary. It's helpful sometimes to journal with prompts about something specific like a goal, learning to ride a bike or tie their shoe laces. Kids can track and process their progress. The Happy Heart Kid Determination Journal helps lead kids through a process of reflection and action. They try one task and then reflect on how they did, then they are prompted to try a more challenging task that builds from the first one and then asked to reflect on how they did with a more challenging task, how they felt when they were able to do it well. And if they struggled they are encouraged to "Try Try Again!" and learn that it's OK to make mistakes.
