JobSite Snow Shield Waterproof Beeswax - Original Formula - Leather Protector - 6 oz

The name fits the product perfectly the water just rolled off

Easy to apply and great color

Received this Beeswax waterproof and expected it to be hard as a candle, it was but that's because it was 10 degrees out when it was delivered. Anyway, I let it sit at room temp overnight and the next day applied it to my new snow boots. I don't know if it was just me but I applied it with a shoe dauber, and it went on with the consistency of regular shoe polish. Got into all the sewn seams and nooks and crannies. Did not buff it but just let it soak in which it did then hit it with another coat.@ days later I was trudging thru 20 inches of snow ice fishing. The water from drilling holes in the ice and the snow just beaded right off my boot like a freshly waxed car in the rain. Only 4 stars for now. I want to see what the longevity of this stuff is before I give it 5 stars. Like everyone else said, it will darken your leather a bit, but then again so will water.

The beeswax shipped pretty fast, since I signed up for a free trial of Amazon Prime. The directions are on the back on how to use it. You heat up your boots, heat up the beeswax, and apply to the boots with a sponge. I used a paper towel as an applicator. I also heated up my boots with a hair dryer on hot, but I probably only should've used the warm setting, because my boots got a little wrinkly afterwards (it says do not exceed heat of 120 degrees F...I never read instructions, cuz I'm a rebel.) After the boots were heated up I just blasted the wax really quick, and then I got a glob and slathered it on the boots in a circular motion. I used a really generous amount; probably too much. You should probably start small and then build up from that. Anywho, after I got done applying the beeswax, my boots (black) looked pretty much the same, but they had an oily, waxy feel to them. I get the feeling you're supposed to let them sit for awhile to let the stuff soak in, or maybe I put too much, but anyways, I ran them under some water and it just beaded up and went away. After about one day, the waxy feel went away and the boots looked and felt exactly the same as before, but this time, they were waterproof. I mean, forrealz waterproof. I accidentally spilt fruit punch on them, and they still look good. Dirt is easier to wipe off of them now, too.Bottom line, the application process is a little tedious (I thought it was fun, but I'm just weird like that) but it's totally worth it because it makes your boots waterproof, has no fragrance, and is natural and won't give you cancer or whatever from the chemicals.

Ya this stuff is the real deal! I rubbed this into my new leather boots with a microfiber cloth. I spent about 10 min on each boot working it deep into the leather. After it dried I could detect no residues left over from the product, it was 100% dry to the touch the next day. My boots were a light brown color when I got them and after applying this it did darken the leather slightly as it states, but I really liked the look it gave them. They look a much richer brown now almost reddish brown. Anyway the next day I was at work and splashed a little water onto my boot while washing my hands in the bathroom. I saw it bead up and thought oh that’s cool then continued to dry my hands and forgot to wipe the droplets off the boot.About 15 min went by while I was sitting at my desk and then I happened to remember the droplets and looked down to see if the boot was dry.To my surprise the same water droplets we’re STILL sitting on the surface of the boot! Lol. I proceeded to wipe the beads off to the side with my finger and they literally ran down the side of my boot to the ground without leaving a single trace of a water stains! That’s a damn good product in my book.

I've applied the wax, a fairly simple process, but don't have weather conditions to test out the result. Perhaps more on that later. I see special brushes advertised to use with this; but if they are really needed, why not provide them WITH the product (as a standard, not a more costly selection), along with directions on how and why to use such brush. At this point, my main frustration is about the packaging. While "sealing" is not needed for something like the old OTC pharmaceutical scare, perhaps it IS wise to seal this to prevent leakage. BUT, how about doing so in a way that allows it to be OPENED?! The seal is restricted to the opening of the jar, WITH NO TABS OR ASSIST TO LIFT THE SEAL! As I muttered to myself, "This should come with a crowbar", I had to use the point of a knife to (dangerously) start a hole, in order to try to remove this seal. Give me a break. Even if I were not very "senior" and having arthritic issues, there would be no safe way to remove that seal without a sharp tool. So, without knowing if this product will actually work when weather conditions test it, I can only share for now the frustration of even getting started with it.

Good product..I use it on leather golf shoes to seal & protect!!

I bought this to use on a very old pair of Birkenstocks (+6 years and resoled once) and a new leather wallet that I had purchased that was getting really scuffed up in my wallet. I had used Kiwi Saddle Soap on both of them before to try to clean them up and restore the leather, but it did not seem to do much. I liked the idea of using a more natural beeswax product, and decided to take a gamble on this paste given the other two positive reviews. I was definitely not disappointed! The paste tin arrived in a plastic wrap/baggie, which was a good thing as it was very greasy (I blame the hot weather, but just be aware). I tried to heat up the leather shoes according to the instructions by using a hairdryer, but honestly I didn't feel much of a difference in the heat of the leather so I skipped it when I did the wallet, and there was no real difference. Just be advised that it was ~75-80 in my house, so the leather could have been naturally at the desired heat already.Actually applying the wax was very easy - I just used a piece of paper towel to skim off the wax from the tin. I found that applying the wax in small circles was the most effective way of avoiding globs/build-up, though some of the heavily creased areas of the wallet seemed to soak up a lot more. I was a little bit nervous about how dark the leather became once I started applying (the wallet went from a medium-light blond color to a darker reddish-brown), but now that the wallet dried it did lighten up considerably (it is still slightly darker than before, though honestly I prefer it this way). There was not as much of a color difference on my dark brown Birkenstocks, though it did do an AMAZING job restoring the faded leather--you can barely tell where it used to be almost white.Overall this was a great deal, and I only used a tiny portion of the wax on those two articles. I plan to coat a bunch more of my leather goods, if only to restore the leather and prevent future damage. I can't attest to the waterproof claim, but if you want to make your leather goods look rich and healthy again, this is great!

I used a (separate) leather cleaner, then winterproofed my boots with this. I've always used sprays in years past but had read about beeswax and wanted to try it. Omg it's fantastic! I smeared it on all over, let it sit over night (I'm extra), rubbed it off, and that was it! The first time my newly treated boots got wet, the water was visibly beading on the surface and my feet stayed dry. I'm confident my boots are protected from winter in Ontario, and would definitely buy this again/recommend.

L’ho usato su due giacche di pelle Non posso esprimermi sulla impermeabilità perché non ha piovuto ancora 😀, però devo dire che lascia la pelle molto morbida e toglie i segni

Its amazing stuff, does exactly what it says

Cubrí unas botas de caña alta, unas de caña normal y un gorro y gaste muy poco para cubrir todo. Da mucho de sí. No puedo comentar sobre la impermeabilidad porque aún no ha llovido.
