When the original book is one of your favourites, the idea of a sequel is always a little daunting; will the characters still be as relatable as they were on the first read through of the original? Will it change the way you feel about the first book? Will you like it?Thankfully, I needn't have worried about any of the above.Postscript is a perfect sequel to P.S I Love You. It's beautifully written, hits the right notes of emotion and keeps faithfully true to the characters who were so strikingly portrayed and bought to life in the previous book.It's tale of life after loss, of staying true to yourself and of hope even in the face of sadness. It's about friendship, it's about making a difference and it's about love. A brilliant read and highly recommended.

Postscript Cecelia AhernI’m struggling to know where to begin with this book, my mind is reeling and my eyes are sore!PS I Love You was the first book that made me ‘ugly cry’, so this book, a follow-up, had a lot to live up to! Rejoining Holly has been a total pleasure (& exhausting!). The first half of the book I was enjoying reading, it was pleasant and entertaining.... and then... OMG... it has been a long time since I put my life on hold to read solidly, but I couldn’t do anything else. I have gripped a tissue frequently & had to pause whilst my eyes refocused! Even though I thought I could see where the story was going, Cecelia’s emotional writing both moved and surprised me. I loved it! Brilliant follow up! And now what?

Five stars are not enough for this book, I’m not going to lie I was really apprehensive about buying this book as PS I Love You is not only one of my favourite books but means a lot to me. I needn’t of worried this is Cecelia Ahern at her best. This book has twists and turns and without giving anything away incorporates and expands on Holly and Gerry. I couldn’t put this down and didn’t want it to end but this book should come with a free back of tissues as at times I was really crying.This book has been worth the long wait and I highly recommend

Bought for my girlfriend who is a huge Cecelia Ahern fan. She was peeved that I didn't get her one last year, apparently it's my fault Ahern didn't write one.Any way, she says that's it was a good book. But because PS I love you was such a good book, this one was a bit of a let down.She is the one giving it the 4*, but she is not sure whether it's because she had built up the expectation so much. She was expecting to laugh and cry the way she had with PS I love you but she didn't.

Firstly i love Cecelia Ahern books. I love the Irish charm and sense of magic she brings to her stories. Jer stories fill my nook shelves and tend to be the books i keep hold of and re read.This book was so long awaited that I had forgotten Holly & Gerrys story. The book helps remember and revisits the events from the p s i love you book.This book delved a lot more in to Gerrys illness which for somebody has dealt with cancer of a close relative was quite hard to read.The story didn't feel as light hearted and warming alike ps i love you. I found it quite tough in places, but that being said the story itself was lovely in itself.I did feel a sense of relief when i finished, i didn't feel i escaped with this story. There was a lot more grief in this book.The path Holly took in this book didn't really feel natural for her character, it would have been good to understand what she lives in those years since the last book.This one wasn't for me, probably the first Cecelia Ahern i have given to charity
