I’ve had some issues with my color fading pretty quickly (I darken my hair bc the natural brown is very mousy) and I don’t want to keep adding layer after layer of dark color onto my hair, possibly damaging it and also making it hard to lighten if the mood strikes me to do so. This color depositing conditioner is a great price for how well it works, especially when compared to similar products. It really lengthens the time between coloring and the longevity of my hair color. On top of that it’s just a good conditioner. It keeps my hair soft and smooth with little to no frizz (although the lack of humidity in the winter is helping I won’t lie) and it’s easy to brush through with no tangles.

I have always loved John Frieda color/blonde shampoos & conditioners! Not only do they always smell divine, but the formulas just work for my hair and scalp chemistry. They always leave my hair silky soft, light & clean, enhanced shine, and never leaves any product buildup. Rather than reordering the Brilliant Brunette combo, I decided to try this Midnight Brunette combo. THIS MIGHT JUST BE MY FAVORITE SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER EVER!!! As usual, it smells DIVINE!!! It does EXACTLY what it says (also like usual for Frieda products). It boosts every strand to the richest and shiniest brunette imaginable. If Frieda products work well for you, THIS IS A MUST!!! I will continue to use the Brilliant Brunette combo for 2-3 washes, then use the Midnight Brunette on the next for a luscious boost.

I have sun bleached light brown hair that tends to be brassy from the sun. I haven't noticed any difference after using this conditioner as far as color. It does have a nice smell and makes my hair nice abd soft

This conditioner is awesome. After turning 50, I decided to stop coloring my greys, (come on, we should be proud to have a little silver at this point ladies). After years of dying my hair, it was always coming out too dark and looked bland after a couple of weeks. My natural color had more personality. Even though I always used the more natural home hair formulas, my hair felt stressed. But, it's hard to make that transition once you start to see the grey roots coming in. So, I went on a hunt for something to help me resist the temptation to color again, and this stuff did the trick. First of all, it is an awesome conditioner, good slippage, soft, shiny texture. Second, it does not hide the greys, but tones them down and keeps them shiny and healthy looking while adding more dimension to my natural color. I only have maybe 25% grey, but what shows is like bits of tinsel with a healthy shine. I can also use this alone to cut down on shampoo frequency for my curly hair, I have never had a product work like that before. I have used it for one month already and no build up or heavy feeling. I highly recommend to anyone looking to embrace the silver as a brunette.

True to form color. Conditions very well. Conditioner is also nice. I wish they had a deep conditioner would be perfect but overall the shampoo and conditioner is worth to buy.

It has a strong scent in the shower but it fades, I really like the scent but if you are an unscented or mildly scented hair product person this is not for you. Does a good job on my hair. As for the color part "eeh", so so. Buy it because it cleans hair without damaging it/stripping it, feels lovely in the shower and after, does well with dyed hair.
