Can it go directly on the roof od a 2019 ford flex?

We put ours directly on the roof of a 2014 Pathfinder. Mind you I have both a moon roof and a sun roof and no cross rails for my roof racks. Because of this I didn't put anything heavy in the bag but it held up great going from California to Florida.
