In line with all UJK Parf products the Parf System fence is a precision piece of equipment manufactured to very tight tolerances. The UJK Parf System Fence is 600mm long, 10mm thick and 40mm wide. The fence comes with 2 x 25mm long Parf dogs, specially made for the fence (the dogs feature an M8 tapped through hole giving them other uses). Also included is a simple adjustable stop, attached to the fence with a Bristol locking handle. The fence has 3 sets of holes along its length. Each set comprises 4 chamfered holes ensuring the dogs sit flush with the top. The distance between each set is 96mm, exactly matching the centres of the holes in your UJK Multifunction bench. The fence is made to the absolute CNC accuracy consistent with the PGS and UJK tops - its use with other tops cannot be guaranteed. Within each set, the holes are at 32mm centres, allowing you to use the fence when constructing cabinets designed with System 32. The fence functions as its title suggests, giving you a 600mm long straight edge making it easy to locate a workpiece against when cutting on the multifunction bench. With the fence in place there is no need to reposition Parf dogs when cutting different lengths. The stop allows you to make accurate repeat cuts, long or short. With the stop in place and by moving the fence one hole along, this shifts the stock by 32mm, for marking drilling etc. The fence becomes a useful stop, when using a hand plane on your multifunction bench, for biscuit or Domino jointing for example. Two fences positioned at 90° are a great aid when assembling cabinet frames or drawers etc. The more you use this piece of equipment the more uses you will find for it.
