Connected a standby generator to the household propane tank. Works very well, installed a quick connect fitting for convenience. It is a bit bulky, so it takes a some care in connecting it.

Hose and quick connection is heavy duty too. You should install a ball valve shutoff behind the quick connection. Even though there’s a ball and spring to only allow gas when the hose is connected. They should have included one more rubber/ silicone cap to put over the quick connection make connection to keep debris and spiders out of the hose.

This feels well made. My only issue is that I wish I could purchase an extra 3/4 quick connect that this comes with. I am not an expert, and read that for my size generator (18hp, 12K surge, 10K running) that I would need this size hose to run my generator on Natural Gas. It seems overkill, but I bought it anyways. I don't use have power outages where I live often, but like the idea of running my house off a powerful generator on natural gas without having to fuss and store with gasoline. Now you do lose about 20% of running/surge watts when converting generator to natural gas, but my generator is powerful enough that it can still run most of my house after conversion.

I am assuming if it can stand up to the sun, wind and rain, it'll work where it is under cover as well . . solved the problem of a vibrating generator, and a rigid pipe, not playing nice . . worked well for me.

Bought to run a 3400 watt inverter generator. I’ve used the hose 3 times. A test run and 2 actual power outages outages. Worked great. Hose seems to be heavy duty and good quality. I especially like the outdoor-rated quick connect that comes with the hose. Appears to be solid brass and comes with plastic end caps. I wish I could have bought another one of their quick connects for the generator end of the hose. Unfortunately, I bought one from another Amazon seller. It’s not outdoor-rated and is a little finicky in getting it to seat properly. In short, love this hose. Would recommend.

Great valve easy to use was exactly as described

I converted my 6.5KW standby generator to natural gas and this hose works perfectly. Fittings are machined brass. The hose threads directly into the regulator on the generator and the quick connect is on the gas supply. The quick-connect has a nice silicon rubber watertight cover. I hope to NOT use it very often, but it appears to be up to the task if I need it.
