what are the dimensions of these hooks?

The hooks are 2 3/4 inches long by 1 inch wide. The eye hole is 1/2 inch inside diameter.

How strong is the clip? What is its tensile strength?

It is just plastic clip so I would not risk to use it with anything that weighs more than pounds. I use the clips to secure my small waterproof box, keys, small knife when wade fishing or kayaking. They work fine with small, lightweight items.
