The handling of the book and packaging wasn't great. Content wise, this book is a gem for experimental biologist trying to learn fundamentals in coding. Go for it!

Excellent book for beginners with easy-to-grasp (and somewhat fun) examples and detailed solution approaches. The exercises are probably the best part of the book, as it really helps you understand the key concepts and commands. I will definetly also buy the follow-up Advanced Python for Biologists book.

Very clear instructions, I was able to run the scripts after some troubleshooting. Very applicable to my program.

Great book with clear explanations, a must have for every biologist who wants to learn Python from the basics.I read it in a couple of weeks in my spare time and now I can easily write bits of programs withouth much effort!
