Cookin' Up a Storm: Sea Stories and Vegan Recipes from Sea Shepherd's Anti-Whaling Campaigns

This is a great vegan cookbook but if you are not vegan, get it anyway. Sea Shepherd only cooks vegan food on its 11 ships in respect for all animals and the planet. These recipes are designed to be cooked on a ship at sea and so they don't have exotic ingredients or take a lot of time. This is good, healthy food for a hungry crew, who are probably not regularly vegan.

This cookbook is excellent! My family has loved every recipe I have made from this book. They are fairly easy to make and healthful as well. I recommend this book to everyone, not just vegans.

So far all the recipes I have tried worked out very well. As a bonus the Sea Shepherd adventures that are included are well done. Thank you Sea Shepherds for all your hard work and dedication.

Although not a vegan, I was intrigued by this cook book which has the whole fascinating Sea Shepherd story, so well written and interesting, plus the great bonus of really delicious recipes that are easy to make in my own kitchen!! Laura is obviously an amazing woman. Try her Fish-Free Cakes and Chocolate-Banana Fudge Cake. Really good! Well worth the $24.95 price!

This exceeded my expectations. There are a lot of recipes and they are simple and approachable. It is well written and provides insight into the activities of the organization.

Expected a good book and this book has far exceeded my expectations. Great read and amazing recipes would highly recommend.

I have purchased both books, and to be honest we've tried them all and put ticks and crosses by the recipes we like.The Cooking up a storm book is easier to read and some very nice meals - although I would recommend both books

A beautifully written and produced book, that not only gave some amazing new recipes for Vegan and Plant based dishes - but also amused, motivated , inspired and kept me an awe of the trials and tribulations of the brave Chief and those that crewed with her on Sea Shepherd ships - risking their lives to uphold international law and saving the lives of the sentient creatures living in our oceans.

I am a huge Sea Shepherd fan so really love the book, I am not used to cup measurements but getting there

I was happy being vegetarian and had not even considered a Vegan lifestyle , but I was curious about Sea Shepherd life and curious about their work. I really didn't expect the book to be So good. The food is delicious ( and even I , an inexperienced cook , came out looking like I really know what I'm doing ) and the stories are inspirational. Knowing that Sea Shepherd people are out there gives me hope for humanity as a whole !
