Seven Deadly Sins, Seven Lively Virtues Revised

Description

In these Catholic DVD studies, Bishop Robert Barron probes deeper into the conflict between sin and virtue, the poison and the antidote. The attention-grabbing DVD set gives hope to those living in the throes of darkness and describes the seven deadly sins that may try and create a rift between God and His beings. Inspired by Dante’s Divine Comedy, the seven deadly sins: pride, envy, anger, sloth, gluttony, avarice, and lust, are vices that guide us to a state of utmost despair. Bishop Barron provides a solution for this prevailing problem and enables us to construct a conscious process of opposition, namely the ‘seven lively virtues,’ to transform ourselves. Participation in the Sacrament of Reconciliation is suggested following the last session. Appropriate for individual or group study, this religious DVD consists of 'Questions for Understanding,' inspired by the video presentation and references from Scripture and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. The 'Questions for Application' provides a compelling argument about how the material is relevant to one's own life and experiences, and helps us reflect on faith in an unprecedented way. Engaging Christian DVD: Learn about the seven deadly sins and how to fight off any temptation that may hinder communication with God in a religious light with the help of specialized virtues designed to win over these urges. Renewal of Hope: Transform yourself into the silhouette of God and Jesus Christ by reflecting on your own life and become closer to God and His Church with this DVD.
