Upgrade Replacement from WellMate WM-6 Pressure Tank
The shipment box was beat to hell and looked like it had been returned as it had the box seams taped multiple places with clear cheap packing tape. The 1-1/4 MNPT threaded connection was protected be a thin cardboard ring, but it got impacted in shipment as indicated in attached picture. Informed Amazon supplier of damage but R/R of old WM-6 and replacement with WM-23 79.6 gallon tank was trouble-free. I used Kevlar-laced sealant rated for PVC and threaded a female crossover to 1 in PVC slip connection, o-ring union, ball valve, on to my water supply. I topped the air pressure charge back up to 38 psi before install, was about 25 psi as tank made in 2022. Make sure you check/recharge air charge at top Schrader valve at least yearly to get maximum amount of service water before your pump cycles.

Very high quality tank vs steel
Super high quality. Considering adding an identical 2nd one in parallel to increase capacity and further reduce well pump dwell times. Box arrived a little mangled, but tank was undamaged. Glad I purchased this over a steel tank.

WAITED TOO LONG TO INSTALL - HAD A LEAK (WATCH VIDEO)
I asked Amazon to assist but have not heard back yet. Let's see if Amazon will go to bat for me. Purchased May 26, 2020 This unit was in storage in my garage for 3+ years before I had a chance to install it. I attempted to install it today 01/19/2024 It leaked at the glued area at the top shown in the red circle. The water streak is clearly visible in the second photo. A replacement tank is now over $1000

The one in the pic is not what I received
They sent me a "last year" model or something, different fittings and base than what they advertised. And I ran it anyways after buying all new fittings. Well, the main pipe has fallen off the bottom 2x so far. Bad factory design, probably why they don't use that style anymore. I'm on almost a year leak free now since getting my own fittings to replace the factory fittings that you aren't supposed to remove.....
