how many are there in the box

Each box is one pound---I have calculated it and I came up with approx. 720 pcs in each box. Of course that is only an approximation due to them packing per weight and not amount of pins. Hope this helps.

Are these soft or not. The soft ones dont provide a good hold for my daughter's bun. Please let me know. Thank you in advance!

These are not soft. I love them. They are great for long hair. After frequent usage, the black coating will begin to peel off.
